(22) Aaron Day Fagin (1802-1876): 2nd son of Abner Fagin/Mary Day, born September 26, 1802 Clermont Co., Ohio. Married Minerva Dickinson (1808-1876) daughter of Morgan and Martha Dickinson, Nov 28, 1827. Minerva was born in Greene County, Pennsylvania and her parents came to Clermont about 1814. Aaron Day Fagin was a prosperous farmer in Monroe, where he moved in 1832. He was a Noble Grand, I.O.O.F.; President, Franklin Agricultural Society; executor of many wills and estates; an active and influential Abolitionist. His old home in Monroe, now restored as "Hidden Hollow" played a part in the "Underground Railway" for fugitive slaves. Emphasizing education, Aaron sent his children to the "select schools" of the time and several became teachers. He died August 20, 1876; buried with wife at Mt. Pisgah Methodist.
