Mary was born in 1894 in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1900, she and her parents immigrated to New York. [1]
In 1910, the family was living in Manhattan, New York. [2]
In January 1912, she married Daniel Warner Marvin. In April 1912, they were returning from their honeymoon in Euope. She survived the Titanic disaster, but her new husband of just 3 months was lost at sea. [1]
Possibly unbeknownst to her, she was in the early stages of pregnancy by then. Her daughter Mary Margaret "Peggy" Marvin was born that fall. [1]
She married her second husband Horace DeCamp on Christmas of 1913. He adopted her baby daughter, and they had two more children together in 1915 and 1920. [1]
In 1920 she was living with her parents in Manhattan, married to Horace Decamp and had two daughters, Peggy (7) and Jennie (4). [3]
Her third child, Frank, was born later in 1920. [1]
They are seen in Manhattan in the 1920, 1930, and 1940 censuses but they also spent considerable time in Great Neck, Long Island and Old Forge, Herkimer, NY. She spent her last years in Thendara, NY. She died in 1975 and is buried at Riverview Cemetery, Old Forge, NY. [1]
