Jonathan was born on November 3 1806 to parents Jonathan and Mary. The family were living in Mosser, Cumberland at the time. [1][2]
Jonathan married Ann Bell on 16 June 1838 in Brigham. John and Ann had two children, Mary Anne and John, who were both born in Loweswater. [3]
In 1851 Jonathan, Ann and their children were living in St Bees, where he was a farmer of 20 acres. [4]
In 1861 Jonathan and his family were in Loweswater where they were farming. [5]
In 1871 Jonathan and Ann were in Loweswater with their children Mary Ann and John. [6]
In 1881 Jonathan was a widow. He was living in Loweswater with his children Mary and John. [7]
Jonathan died in 1885. He was buried in Loweswater on 28 September. [8]
