Obituary
Banks B. Ferrell was born in 1850; departed this life April 29, 1941; age 91 years. He professed faith in Christ in early life.

He first joined the Protestant Methodist Church at Fairview, and was baptized by Rev. Ran Dillon. Later in life, he joined the Primitive Baptist Church at Phillips Chapel, Big Stone Gap, Virginia, and was baptized by his son, Elder Morgan Ferrell. He remained in the fellowship of this church until God Called him home.

In departing, he leaves three sons and six daughters; also a large number of grandchildren, together with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing, but our loss is no doubt his great Eternal gain.[3]
