In 1820, at about the age of 17, he and Henry Arney, William "Biles" (Boyles) and Lory Arney emigrated from Stokes County, North Carolina to Washington County, Indiana, where Lame Henry stayed for about 6 months before moving on to Owen County, Indiana, which is where he married Elizabeth Conder. They had 12 children -- 6 boys and 6 girls.[1]

Research Notes
Gary Ault sends the following via email:
Hi, Hebry Fiscus is "Lame" Henry Fiscus, son of Adam Fiscus and Anna Catherine (Arney) Fiscus. This is one of my family lines. please recheck other brothers and sisters of our Hebry Fiscus, not right. also my other family line is Mary Madgalena (Arney) and Frederick Fiscus. As for Henry Arney Sr. is not buried in the same cem. as his wife Maria Madgalena (Fulk) Arney, they are buried in two different cem. 9 miles away form each other. Also the book Owen County Cousins, which is a very good starting point for research, but is not always right. I have been researching Henry Arney Sr. family for sometime now. I have went through all the old Owen County Court records that was able to found, I have found the complete probate record of Henry Arney Sr. listing all persons that received money from the Estate. Some of the children listed as children of Henry Arney Sr., in the book Owen County Cousins was not in the records of Henry's estate. Also persons on ancestry have got names of persons that was not listed as Heirs to the Estate of Henry Arney Sr. I am also a decendent of Lawrence Arney's thrid wife Lousia ELiza (Crouse)(Irvin) Arney.
