Johannnes/John Fisher/Fischer was born on May 9, 1746 in Tulpehocken, Pennsylvania in the British American Colonies. His parents were Jacob Fisher/Fischer and Maria (Frederick) Fisher.
Johannes/John was married three times. His first marriage was around 1768 to Magdalene Meffert, and they had 2 children together: Magdalene Fisher (1769) and John Jacob Fisher (1771). His wife Magdalene died sometime between 1771 and 1774, and John took a second wife.
He married Catherine Shaffer in 1774, and they had 4 children together: Mary Elizabeth Fisher (aka Eva Marie?) (1775), John/Johannes Fisher (1776), Adam F Fisher (1778), and Barbara (Fisher) Zartman (1780). Catherine died in 1780.
John then took a third wife, Susanna/Susannah Leffler, and likely married her around 1790-1792. John and Susanna/Susannah had 2 children together: Catherine (Fisher) Zartman (1793) and Michael Fisher (1795). Both children were born in Pennsylvania before the family moved to Perry County, Ohio.
Johannes died on March 24, 1826 in Perry County, Ohio. His 3rd wife survived him. He is buried in the Zion Reformed Lutheran Cemetery in Thornville, Ohio.
