Biography

Clara Maud Flanagan was born in Waimea South, New Zealand, on the 18th of June 1898. She was the youngest daughter and 14th of 15 children born to William Flanagan and Betsy Brown.

Clara married, at age 22, to Bernard John (Jack) O'Donnell.
They were married on the 22 June 1920, presumably in Nelson. [1]

Jack and Clara O'Donnell had one son:

  1. Barry John O’DONNELL born 1 Sep 1922 Nelson, New Zealand; m Monica Deula BARNETT

Jack and Clara O'Donnell lived in Nelson. They lived in Halifax Street, opposite to the current AA building location.

Clara O'Donnell passed away in 1968, at age 70.
She died in Nelson, New Zealand, on the 24th of September 1968.

Both Clara and Jack were buried at the Wakapuaka Cemetery in Nelson. [2]
