Biography

Alice Catherine Fleetwood, daughter of Henry Paul Fleetwood and his wife Jane, ^[1] was born in about 1823 in Preston, Lancashire. ^[2] She was baptised on 12 September 1823 in Preston, Lancashire. ^[1] Her first marriage was to Thomas Kay on 10 August 1843 at St John's church, Preston, Lancashire. ^[3] Following the death of her first husband, she then married Edwin Davis Maddy on 12 January 1854 in Blackburn, Lancashire. ^[4] She died on 29 April 1859, her death being registered in Kensington, London. ^[5][6]

Residence
On 30 March 1851 in Woodfold Park, Mellor, Lancashire, with her parents Henry Paul Fleetwood and Jane Fleetwood, her sister Jemima Hewett aged 23, her brother-in-law John Maddy Moor Hewett aged 25, her siblings Sarah Jane Fleetwood aged 20 and Henry Paul Fleetwood Junr aged 22, her nephew Harry Hyde Hewett aged 0, a footman Noah Robert Grey aged 18 and five servants (Mary Salkeild aged 30, Betsy Brough aged 23, Jane Forsythe aged 21, Abigal Walmsley aged 23 and Isabella Brown aged 25). ^[2]
