Joshua Fletcher was born on January 4, 1677 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Joshua is the son of Joshua Fletcher and Grissel Jewell. "Joshua lived in that part of Chelmsford, which in 1729 was set off to from Westford; he was the first clerk of the new town."
