Unfortunately, her name isn't in the Wall of Names Booklet but it should be. It is unclear whether she is on the wall or not. More research is needed.
Victor Desforest is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 11-Right La Ville d'Archangel. Listed with him are: his wife Marie Jeanne Richer, and four children: Jean, Etienne Gilles, Servanne Julienne and Jeanne Isabelle.[1]
Marie Adelaide Forest was born on August 15, 1770 in St. Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, France, daughter of Victor Forest (abt. 1733–aft. 1820) and Julienne Rosereu (abt. 1746–bef. 1784).[2]
She was with her family on the September 1784 census taken at St. Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France.[3]
On list of Acadians in France who wanted to go to Louisiana "to establish themselves at the expense of His [Spanish] Catholic Majesty" (Cites: A.D.S. Legajo 2575).
On the list from "ST. MALO:"
Victor DÉ FORET, with wife J. M. RICHET, 5 sons, 5 daughters, for a total of 12 in family.
On 3 December 1785 she debarked from La Ville d'Archangel at the port of New Orleans, Orleans, LA.[4]
Marie Adelaïde DESFORETS, age 15, daughter of Victor FOREST, traveling with him and his 4th wife Marie Jeanne RICHER and six other children as the 12th family of 6 [sic, 9] persons aboard La Ville d'Archangel.
She married 9 April 1793, New Orleans, Orleans, LA, to Francisco PEREZ.[5]
Marie died in Louisiana, probably in New Orleans area where her children were born.
