Biography
Spencer was born about 1826.
He married (unknown) about 1850 and had two children, Susannah Cynthia and William. He later married Mariah Stone and their children were Nicholas, Mary, Alferd, Charles, Sarah, Tibitha, Joseph, May, Jesse, Martha and Bethunia.
He died 1911.[1] He is buried at Staggs Cemetery in Izard County, Arkansas.[2]
Research Notes
Military headstone application has dod as 10 JUN 1911. Every census has a different place of birth-Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia-- with dob ranging from 1830-1838, but nothing going back to the 1826 on FG. No dates on military marker and sources for dates on FG not given.
