IF there are 2 Robert Fowler's living in or near Otterville, and I am afraid there were, then I need to separate this profile and make a new one for my Robert Morrison Fowler who served it the 6th and NOT the 27th Mounted...........there is no way??? one man can be enlisted in 2 Regiments at the same time period.
He joined the same day/place as grampa Morrison M Lee. This I believe tells me they were related or lived near each other, as in the f-a-g memorial
Research Note
There is no source that proves OR disproves that the Robert Fowler who joined the 27th Missouri Mounted Infantry the same day and same place as Morrison M Lee is the same Robert Morrison Fowler who was living with Morrison's father Grissom, but I think the chances that they were the same are GOOD. And until I or someone can find one way or the other I am making them one/same.
