John "Jack" Jackson FRASHER was born about 1840 in Floyd County, Kentucky. He was not listed in his father's household in the 1840 census record.[1] The official date that the questions asked in that census record were to refer to for the 1840 census year was 1 June 1840. Since John Jackson FRASHER was not listed it is thought that he was born after that date, but this one document cannot prove this statement. In the 1850 Census record[2] of his stepfather, Benjamin OUSLEY, John Jackson FRASHER was enumerated with his stepfather's surname and is enumerated as being 10 years old. His older sister, Sarah FRAZIER (age 11 Years) and his younger sister Nancy FRAZIER (age 6 Years) were also enumerated with the stepfather's surname.
