William West Frazier.

Birth: Aug. 27, 1839.

Montevideo, Uruguay.

Occupation Director and Secretary of Franklin Sugar Refinery. By 1900, the Refinery produced over 90% of the sugar in the United States.[1]

Death: Aug. 24, 1921. [2]

Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Son of Benjamin West Frazier (1809-1854) and Isabella Zimmerman (1817-1845).

Civil War. 6th Penna Cavalry. Muster/Enrolled Sept 3, 1861. age 22, 2nd Lt, Co. B, 6th Penna. Calvary. Muster: 6th Penna, Adjutant, pay raise March 27, 1862, 1st Lt.. Field and Staff Muster: Appointed Reg;. Adjutant Regiment order # 61, Sept 15/Dec, 1862; Promoted to Captain, Comp. B by Gov. of Penna.; Muster Roll: absent, detached to Phila, since Aug. 1863 to Col. Kellog, Resignation papers dated July 4, 1864 . [3]

Married Harriet Morgan Harrison (1842-1915) on April 19, 1864. Father of nine children: William West, Jr., George Harrison, Isabella, Charles Harrison, Sarah Ann, Harriet Morgan, John Nalbro, Benjamin West, Helen (all Frazier surname). He retired in1892 with the sale of Franklin Sugar. He had homes in Philadelphia, Pa., 287 Washington Lane, Rydal/Jenkintown, Pa,[4] and Northeast Harbor and North Haven, Maine.

Family links: Spouse: Harriet Morgan Harrison Frazier (1842 - 1915).

Children: Sarah Ann Frazier Zimmermann (1872 - 1949). John Nalbro Frazier (1877 - 1936).

Burial: Saint James the Less Episcopal Churchyard. Philadelphia County. Pennsylvania, USA.
