I was born November 27, 1955 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to J D Fry and A. Lorene Fry. I was their first child of four. We lived in Arkansas, Texas, and California, moving fairly often based on where my father was working. I attended school in both Arkansas and California, changing schools often. I graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in Pearcy, Arkansas in 1973. In 1974 I married William G. Pettigrew (Bill). We had three children, Angela Renee Pettigrew, William Alan Pettigrew, and Courtney Denise Pettigrew.
I have been researching my family history since I was about 13 years old. I used to ask my paternal grandmother questions about when she was a child and growing up. This got me interested in family history. I am working on my paternal lines of Fry, Sanders, Herrin, Bledsoe, Elmore, Johnson, Coffman, Copeland, Meeks, and Kirkpatrick. I am also working on my maternal lines of Hancock, Herrin, Garner, Jones, Fink, Bagwell, and Beers. My family tree is on the website My Heritage.
