Biography

Maerbil was baptized in Tappan, New York, on 29 June 1709, recorded as the child of Jonas Gerretse and Cornelia De Groodt.[1]

He is known to posterity as Marvel Garrison.

He married Amy Hammond (daughter of William) in Philipsburgh, Dutchess County, New York Colony, on Dec. 20, 1729. They resided on Pleasantville Road in Ossining, NY. He died in 1800.
