Biography
Bessie Mae Gary was born 26 May 1887 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, United States. She was the daughter of James Franklin Gary and Amanda (Mandy) Adeline Williams.[1]
After Bessie's father died in 1895, her mother married Frank Dennis. Bessie and her brother, Amos Franklin Gary, also joined the Dennis household.[2]
On 29 Jan 1916, Bessie married her step-brother, Frank Dennis, in Isabella County, Michigan. [3][4]
Bessie Mae died 16 Aug 1942, after being struck by an auto several days earlier. According to the death certificate, she suffered from fracture of the humerus and ribs, cardiar dilalation [cardio dilation?], edema of the brain and lungs, hemmorhage of the left ventricle, and chronic myocarditis. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, on 12 Aug 1842.[5]
