Biography

Ambroise Hebert is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 12-right, La Caroline. Listed with him is his wife Felicite Le Jeune; their daughter Gertrude; and his wife's niece Angelique Gotreau.[1]

Anne Angelique was born in 1765. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Gautrot and Anne Lejeune. [2]

17 December 1785 : Immigration - New Orleans, Orleans, LA.[3]

Ambroise HÉBERT, foreman, age 54, traveling with his wife Félicité LEJEUNE, age 45, and daughter Gertrude, age 16. His [wife's] niece Angélique GAUTROT, age 20, is with them as the 8th family (of 4 persons) aboard "La Caroline."

[Angélique's two unmarried sisters also traveled to Louisiana, with other relatives.]

She was on the embarkation list of L'Amitié with her uncle Ambroise Hebert but traveled on La Caroline instead, which left two months later.

Married 27 February 1786, Donaldsonville, Ascension, LA, to Pierre Alexis HACHE.[4]

She passed away in 1795 when her husband remarried.[5]
