Biography
Unlike all his other siblings there is no baptism record for a Thomas Gilbert as shown in the 1841 census. His age in1841 matches that for a baptism of Robert Gilbert to his parents, and as there is no burial record or other record for this Robert as a child, it would seem possible that Thomas is in fact Robert.
