By 1880, Andrew had remarried to Ella F. Hatch. In 1880, they and his son Eddie lived in Everett, MA with her parents, Hollis B and Elissabeth H. Hatch.

From the "Boston Herald," MA, Aug. 12, 1884, p. 4,

Andrew J. Gilley of Everett, an employe of the firm of Henry Mayo & Co., 429 Atlantic avenue, fell down an elevator well at that place yesterday afternoon, fracturing several ribs and otherwise injuring himself internally. He was taken to the Massachusetts General Hospital in the police ambulance.

Gilley--In Everett, May 4, Andrew J. Gilley, 56 yrs 3 mos 8 ds. Funeral services will be held at his late residence, 136 Main st., on Monday, May 7, at 2 P M.
