In the name of God Amen I Catherine Ross of the District of Laurens and the State of South Carolina, being of sound and Disposing mind and memory but weak in body and caling to mind the uncertainty of life and being desirious to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to Bless me do make and ordain this my last will in manner do following that is to say.
First it is my will that all my Estate both real and personal Shall be Sold after my Dead and out of the Money arising therefrom I alow my three Daughters, Jane Elizabeth & Sarah one hundred Dolars apiece and all the ballance of the money arising from Said Sale to be equaly Divided amongs all my Children (vz) John Jane James Francis Elizabeth & Sarah - as to my son James part it is my will that it should (unknown word) in the hands of My executors for his use and Support and for my Executors to pay my son James twenty Dolars year and yearly until he has Recd his part as stated before but if my Son Jas shud depart this life before he has Recd his part then and in that Case it is my will that what he has not Recd shall be Equally Divided amongst all my Surviving Childring or Their Legal Representatiss and Lastly I do Constitute and appoint my son in Law William Cowen and my Son Francis Ross, Executory of this my Last Will and Testament in witteness whereof I have herunto set my hand affixed my Seal this 11th Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousat Eight Hundred and twenty six.
