Biography

Mildred was born 1801 in Virginia the daughter of John and Lucy W. Goodall of Virginia. She was one of twelve children who lived most of their lives in Caldwell County, Kentucky. Mildred Goodall was a native of Lyon (previously Caldwell) county and a daughter of John Goodall who was a Kentucky pioneer. She lived to the age of sixty-five years. She and John Boyd were the parents of twelve children, all but one of whom grew up, but only three are living: James, of Eddyville; Mary, the widow of Jacob Young, of Eddyville; and John.

She married John Boyd on November 15, 1819 in Barren County Kentucky. She died May 7, 1860 in Caldwell County.
