My family tree is private but I want to collaborate on deep ancestors or historical figures.
I am a newbie to the geneology world. I am grateful for all the hard work that my oldest brother has done walking through cemetaries and digging through dusty records before this wonderful digital age that we now live in, giving me a head start in my own research. I took a DNA test to find out my personal ethnicities as my father had always told me that we were a Heinz57 . After I inputted what information I had (thanks to my brother), I continued to pursue up the different branches of the tree. I am especially interested in the identity of my great-great grandfather on my maternal side. This is my brick wall.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
