In 1916, Esther Jarman (29) and Joseph Jarman (29) were living in Selkirk, Manitoba, with children Minnie and Annie.[1] She is listed as "na" under naturalization year.
Esther died in 1934, only 43 years old. Esther is buried in the Bnay Abraham Cemetery in West St Paul, Manitoba, Canada.
After Esther died, her older children took care of her younger children.
Research Notes
The age of 14 on the 1897 Census implies a birth year of 1882 or 1883, the 1916 Canada Census lists her as 29 (1886 or 1887), the 1921 Canada Census lists her as 33 (1887 or 1888) and her gravestone from 1934 lists her as 43 (1890 or 1891). The 1911 Canadian Census lists her as 22 but also gives her specific month and year of birth as January 1889 and that is what is being assumed to be true.
