AFFIDAVIT, STATE OF ARKANSAS, JOHNSON CO:
Before me, C. B. Wilson, Notary Public, the undersigned H. P. Goodnight and R. H. Goodnight state that Sarah Goodnight and her husband Henry Goodnight; Martha Scoggins and her husband James Scoggins and Margarett Goodnight and her husband H. P. Goodnight of Coal Hill, Arkansas and Martha Nichols and her husband C. H. Nichols of Greenwood Substation, Sebastian County, Arkansas are heirs & proper Administrators of Richard Gray, deceased who was a brother of S. S. Gray, decd late of Jackson Co., TN and the above are the only heirs and distributees of said Richard Gray decd, are entitled to funds in hands of Clerk & Master of Jackson Co., TN, their distributive share.

The following info was provided some years ago by Tabitha Johnson of Moutain View, Ar who was in pretty bad shape in the nursing home."
Richard (Rickie) Gray family. Wife Jane or Mary Gilmore. Second wife Betsy Goodnight Burgess. Fist wife children:
(1)William Gray married Tabitha Goodnight: Children - Martha, Tom Pick Betty, Sarah and Jim.
(2) James Gray married Mary Goodnight.Children: Lou Gray McGee, Peggy Clark Gray, Samuel Gray, Dick Gray, Sarah Gray, Frank Gray, Betty Gray.
(3) Martha Gray Goodnight. Second marriage Jim Scroggins.
(4) Betty Gray maried Odum. Don't know about but one boy, Thomas Odum.
(5) Peggy Ann Gray married David Reid Shannon .Children: Jefferson married Indiana Askew, Mary Ann Letherwood, James Robert Her writing at this point is vague but there is a complete run down available on the Shannons.
(6) Law Gray married Bitha Ham.Don't know how many children.
(7) Samuel Gray married Jane Duke."
