Biography

Sophia Prisilla (spelling of her 2nd given name remains in question - see research note) Greenaway was born on 23 Dec 1913^[1] in Sycamore, DeKalb, Illinois to Fred Greenaway^{[2] [3]} and his second wife, Nellie (Lesher) Greenaway.^[4][3]

Her sister, Nelle (Greenaway) Kisis Shoberg was born in 1916.^[5]

She married Oscar Anderson Jr. on 20 Oct 1934 in Geneva, Illinois.^[2]

Two sons were born to this union.^[2]

On 16 Oct 1940, at the time of her husband's WWII Draft Registration, she and her husband, Oscar Anderson Jr., were living at 915 Grove Street in DeKalb, where he worked at the Wurlitzer Co. on 15th and Pleasant in DeKalb.^[6]

In 1992 she and her husband were living at 815 N 12th St, DeKalb, IL.^[1]

Sophia passed away on 30 Dec 1996 in Jury (?) (see her obit for more info)^[2] at the age of 82-83^[4], and was buried at the Fairview Cemetery in DeKalb, DeKalb, Illinois.^[3]

Research Notes

Given Name: Prisilla vs. Priscilla

The only location that has her second given name spelled out is the WWII Draft registration of her husband. "Prisilla" is how it was spelled^[6] I expect that they meant Priscilla, but there is no proof.

Need to substantiate spelling of her given names and further substantiate names of her parents.
