JAMES GREENLEE DIES AT CALEDONIA

Well Known Resident of Boone County Passes Away - Came from Scotland in 1850 - Family Widely Known in this County. Caledonia, Aug. 23.

- James Greenlee, who had resided in Caledonia for more than fifty years passed away at noon Saturday. He had been an invalid for twelve years and had been confined to his bed for the last year.

Mr. Greenlee was born in Argyleshire, Scotland, eighty-six years ago and came to this country in 1853. He made agriculture his life work and was highly regarded by all who knew him. He was a member of the Scotch Presbyterian church at Argyle.

He is survived by two brothers, Thomas and William Greenlee, of Caledonia, two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Kelly, of Caledonia, and Mrs. J. J. Smith of Winnebago, three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Kelly, of near Caledonia, Mrs. Elizabeth Greenlee, of Harlem, and Miss Beth Greenlee, at home and two sons, Robert, at home, and Edward at Poplar Grove.

Funeral services will be held at the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Pierson officiating, and burial will be in the Argyle Cemetery.^[9]
