Robert died in Pilares de Teras, Bavispe, Sonora, Mexico sometime in February of 1904. The Austin Statesman newspaper article/obituary for Robert was published on 24 Feb 1904 and states that a telegram was received in Palestine, Texas, USA (his home at the time) stating that he had died in Mexico.
