Biography

Hannah Groves was born about 1640, probably in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Her birthdate is based on the birthdate of her first known child, 1665. She was the daughter of Philip Groves.^[1] She married Nathaniel Porter, probably in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut.^[2] She died about 1672 in Stratford.

Research Note

I changed Hannah's preferred first name from Elizabeth to Hannah, because I could find no reference to her being called Elizabeth. Nathaniel Porter's second wife was Elizabeth Baldwin. Their first child was John, born 28 March 1674.^[2]Mauger-110 02:06, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
