Over the past few years I have become more interested in my family genealogy and started collecting data using one of the popular platforms, but I did not feel comfortable with somebody "owning" this data and restricting information to "premium members". I kept thinking why is there no wiki type platform where data can be entered and searched freely? I hope I found it here :-)
