Biography
Ann was born in Guisborough, 10 March 1768.
The marriage of Henry Walker Yeoman & Ann Hale was conducted on 15 December 1786, Gassiton, Yorkshire. [1]
The marriage of Cornelius Smelt & Ann Yeoman was conducted in 1801 Hackney, Middlesex. [2] They had the following children:
Frances Hale, born on 17 March 1802 and baptised at Guisborough, Yorkshire on 29 April 1802[3]
Cornelius Robert, born on 1 March 1803 and baptised at Guisborough, Yorkshire on 28 March 1803[4][5]
Jessie, born on 29 September 1805 and baptised at Guisborough, Yorkshire on 18 October 1805[6]
Living in Hutton Rudby, Yorkshire in 1841 where she worked as an agricultural labourer. [7]
With son Henry & his family in 1851 living in Richmond, Yorkshire. [8]
She died in 1853. [9] A death notice in the Yorkshire Gazette gives her death date as 5 December 1853, describes her as relict of Cornelius Smelt and daughter of General John Hale, and says she died at the house her son Henry Walker Yeoman of Richmond, Yorkshire.[10]
