I was cleaning out my Aunt Myrtle's apartment after she passed away when I came across her records of our Hale and Limbird family history. That piqued my interest in family research and launched me on a path to find my immigrant ancestors. That search has continued off and on for the past 30 years or so, more off than on as I hit brick walls. Through genetic DNA genealogy research an unknown cousin found me and told me about our Cato ancestors who came to America long before the Revolutionary War. Perhaps this relatively new approach to genealogy research using DNA will be the tool that I need in my research efforts. We'll see.
Now a bit about me. I grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas working for my dad in his service station. I graduated from Baylor University in 1963, joined the US Air Force in 1966 and served 22 years. I used to ride a bicycle and was a long-distance touring cyclist until I got hit by a car that nearly killed me. After a long recovery from the accident, I was a sports photographer, mostly baseball, for ten years or so. I'm retired now and live in central Florida.
