There's a lot of discussion about where James Hall came from, though DNA for the Hall family of Burke county shows he was not from Burke County. There is a James Hall of Western North Carolina that is often confused with this James Hall. As far as I know, there is no documentation for the origins of James Hall who married Ann Unknown and lived in Rabun County Georgia.
Do you have any sources that might help with this mystery?
There is some indication that this Hall family originated in PA went to Mecklenburg and its surroundings, then on to Pendleton Dist. SC and then on to Rabun.
Hall-7043 and Hall-24002 appear to represent the same person because: James William Hall is my ancestor, and while uploading my own .ged a second profile was created
I am researching further into James Hall and Nancy Hall possibly being siblings. I have been in contact with a descendant of james and Spicey as well. He Tells me that James is Nancy Hall Welborn's brother. Mags
