Biography

Beatrix Petty-Fitzmaurice was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Lady Beatrix Frances Petty-FitzMaurice was born on 25 March 1877.1 She was the daughter of Henry Charles Keith Petty-FitzMaurice, 5th Marquess of Lansdowne and Lady Maud Evelyn Hamilton.1 She married, firstly, Henry de la Poer Beresford, 6th Marquess of Waterford, son of John Henry de la Poer Beresford, 5th Marquess of Waterford and Lady Blanche Elizabeth Adelaide Somerset, on 16 October 1897.1 She married, secondly, Osbourne de Vere Beauclerk, 12th Duke of St. Albans, son of William Ameleus Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk, 10th Duke of St. Albans and Grace Bernal-Osborne, on 19 August 1918.1 She died on 5 August 1953 at age 76.1 From 16 October 1897, her married name became Beresford. From 19 August 1918, her married name became Beauclerk. She was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1919.1 She was invested as a Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1
