John (Hamilton-Dalrymple) Dalrymple KT DSO is a member of Clan Dalrymple.
John James Dalrymple, 12th Earl of Stair was born on 1 February 1879. He was the son of John Hew North Gustav Henry Hamilton Dalrymple, 11th Earl of Stair and Susan Harriet Grant-Suttie. He married Violet Evelyn Harford, daughter of Colonel Frederick Henry Harford and Florence Helen Isabella Parsons, on 20 October 1904. He died on 4 November 1961 at age 82. He gained the title of 12th Earl of Stair.
