Baptized as Albert Wilhelm Carl Hannemann at St. John's Lutheran Church in La Porte on February 26, 1899. Confirmed at St. John's on March 13, 1913.

Attended St. John's Lutheran School through the eighth grade. Worked in shipping at Allis-Chalmers for thirty-three years. He never married and lived near the farm of his niece, Dorothy Lindborg in Scipio Township.

Died at La Porte Hospital of prostate cancer on December 5, 1984. Buried in St. John's Lutheran Church next to his older brother Edward and his parents on December 7, 1984.

Albert W. Hannemann, 85, of 2491 S. CR-500W., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 1984, at LaPorte Hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1899, in Chicago, Ill., to Charles and Mary (Levenhagen) Hannemann and had lived here most of his life. He had retired from Allis-Chalmers after 33 years of service. Surviving are three, Walter, Rudolph, and Herbert, all of LaPorte, and several nieces and nephews. Four sisters [Lillian, Martha L. (Porter), Meta Ann (Moore), Emma Louise (Bates)] and one brother [Edward Charles] proceeded him in death. The funeral will be Friday at 1 P.M. at the Haverstock Funeral Home with Dr. W. Robert Manning officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 P.M. Thursday and until the time of services Friday. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
