Wikipedia is not really a source on Jacob Harley. He's no longer shown there, I just edited the page and removed him because the person that added him, without source, is no longer a member there.
In my research I have found no evidence, except a long held family tradition, to even prove that a Jacob Harley every existed.
DNA evidence has shown that a Jacob Stover has fathered one of Mary's children and another with strong ties to the surname of Oxford.
The Stover line is of royal descent from Switzerland. Perhaps one of the older relatives just combined names and "created" Jacob Oxford which later, with someone researching it and trying to figure it out stumbles on the Earl of Oxford and just assumes the rest of the story?
