Biography

Benjamin was born in 1755. He is the son of Samuel Harris and Abigail Larcom of Beverly Mass[1]

In 1763, he emigrated to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia along with his family[2] [3] [4] [5]

On May 17, 1781, he married Abigail Elwell, daughter of Nathaniel and Rebecca Elwell, also Yarmouth grantees[4], and their children included:

  1. Rebecca, born March 10, 1782, who married Joseph Eldredge, son of Barnabas[4]
  2. Hannah, born November 10, 1784, who married William, son of Richard Williams and Margaret Harris, and then married Adam Miller[4]
  3. Benjamin, born October 23, 1785, who married Hannah Bent, daughter of Joseph Bent and Priscilla Harris[4]
  4. Emma, who married Samuel, son of Richard Williams and Margaret Harris[4]
  5. Nathaniel, born July 29, 1788, who married Sarah, daughter of Samuel Harris 3rd, and then married Phebe Millbury[4]
  6. Eunice, born November 7, 1792, who married John Landers, son of John[4]
  7. Tryphosa, born October 10, 1796, who married Paul Trask, son of John 2nd[4]

These sources don't show death information for Benjamin. He appear in the 1793 tax records[6], and his son appears in the 1827 Census[7]
