Biography

Mabel was born in 1881. She is the daughter of John Harris and Eliza Mander.

In the 1911 census she and three of her siblings are in their parent's home in Hoopers Lane Astwood Bank, Feckenham. [1] Her age is given as 28 and she is single. She is working for a needle manufacturer as a needle groover.

In 1921 Arthur and Mabel were living on the Evesham Road, Astwood Bank, Feckenham, Warwickshire and had a four-year-old daughter Cicely (Clarice) [2] Arthur was a needle stamper. Mabel had given up work and all we know is that she was occupaied with home duties.

In the 1939 Register Mabel and Arthur are at Edgioak Lane, New End, Astwood Bank, Evesham, Worcestershire. He is a needle stamper and she is a needle groover. They have a daughter Clarice / Cicely who is a process clerk in the needle factory [3]
