Spent 38 years in Personnel/Human Resources: Hastings Manufacturing Company 1961-1972, Dake Corporation (Grand Haven, MI 1972-1979 and Zelenka Nursery (Grand Haven, MI) 1979-1999.
Lived in Hastings, Michigan from birth to July, 1950 when we moved to 40 acre farm west of Hastings. Lived in several locations in Lansing and East Lansing 1955-1960. Lived in Manhattan, Kansas for 14 months, then back to Hastings from 1961 to 1972. Grand Haven, Michigan 1972-1999. Homer, MI 1999-2008, Grand Haven 2008-2011. Freedom Village in Holland, MI since 2011.
Involved in genealogy since 1950 when my Grandmother Harthy "set" me down and I copied information on the Harthy family - took 60 years to prove name was originally Hartog.
Have been documenting burial sites of Civil War soldiers since 2008.
