George Haywood was born in Henry County, Georgia abt 1820. George Haywood and Jane Adeline Turner married in Henry County, Georgia in 1839. [1] Family story goes that George left Jane and her children, going off in the Mexican War, never to return. A federal Land Grant given to his children confirms that he was killed in the War.
