Now I require your guidence, have I interpreted Ann Maria Prinsloo or Prinsloo-1830 will correctly? Second there is a source which states Helberg-190 died in 1899, however my reading of that source intimates his birth date was 1866; can you review that document and advise Deirdre or myself. Next I have a problem with his second wife Anna Maria Prinsloo or Prinsloo-1830 who is her father is it Joachim Johannes Prinsloo or Prinsloo-608 or 488 informants state they both died at Bloukransriver? The good book by JC Visagie mentions 3 JJP's who were born 1815 to 1825. happy researching Paul
In addition this Johannes married Martha Maria Margaretha Olivier at the Luthern Church in Graaff Reinet, at the time he was twenty years old and Martha was only 16, perhaps she had to get married, however no children are attributed to this marriage and we learnt the marriage resulted in a divorce. At the age of 25 Johannes joined A H Potgieters party of trekkers, he became the teacher of this trek party amongst his students was the young Paul Kruger who went on to become the Transvaal Republic's State President. As the trek teams progressed there was a major battle with the Zulus at Blood River; Anna Maria Catharina Prinsloo was caught up in those skirmishes, somehow she met up with A H Pogieters party whereupon she married Johannes. We are of the opinion that the marriage took place near Potchefstroom. This marriage resulted in the birth of six children.
