Biography

Mercer Hemperly was enumerated as son of the head of household at Sand Street, Leesville, Vernon Parish, Louisiana for the January 30, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1913 in Arkansas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head C M Hemperly, wife Margaret Hemperly, son Acy Hemperly, son Lacy Hemperly, daughter Grace Hemperly, son Ennis Hemperly, daughter Laurie Hemperly and daughter Margerit Hemperly.[1]

Mercer Hemperley was enumerated as son of the head of household at South East Addition, Leesville, Vernon Parish, Louisiana for the April 12, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1913 in Arkansas and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Clayton Hemperley, wife Margaret Hemperley, daughter Loree Hemperley, daughter Margie Lee Hemperley and lodger George Centers.[2]

Mercer E Hemperley is buried at Cryer Cemetery in Pickering, Vernon Parish, Louisiana.[3]
