Margaret was born in 1866. She was the daughter of Benjamin Hess and Mary Hess.

Margaret married Charles Franklin Deitrick (1860-1932).

Margaret passed away in 1951. She is buried at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, USA.^[1]

Mrs. Margaret A. Deitrick, 85, widow of C. Frank Deitrick, died Wednesday morning at 11:10 a.m. at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Kindt, Fowler Ave., Berwick. She had been in ill health a number of years and bedfast for the past six months having suffered at that time a broken hip.

Born in Jonestown, Mrs. Deitrick lived in this vicinity most of her life. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include the following children: Lester Deitrick, Danville; Marvin Deitrick, Kansas City, Kansas; Gordon Deitrick, Coudersport; Miss Bertha Deitrick, Danville; Benjamin Deitrick, Pleasantdale, Sask., Canada; Mrs. R.M. Johnson and Mrs. Harry E. Kindt, Berwick. There are 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Ward Hess, Jonestown; Rush Hess, Orangeville; Marvin Hess, of Asbury, PA; Hanley Hess, Mifflinville; Donald Hess, Jonestown; Mrs. Harry Deitrick, Camp Town; and Mrs. Fred Hosler and Mrs. Stanley Peters, Berwick. Her husband died in December 1932. Services will be held from the Kelchner Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. G. P. Cooley, of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Market Street, Berwick.
