Ragnhild was born about 1174 and died about 1212.
Helen has previously been shown on WikiTree as one of the wives of Alan of Galloway.
There is no good evidence for this relationship. The one and only source so far found is The Scots Peerage compiled by James Balfour Paul in the early 1900s. This says that Alan had three wives, the second and third being Margaret, daughter of David Earl of Huntingdon, and a daughter of Hugh de Lacy. It says that the name of Alan's first wife is unknown but she was "said to be a daughter of Reginald, Lord of the Isles, by whom he had two daughters".[1] For this, James Balfour Paul cites Caledonia by George Chalmers, which actually says "the name of the first [wife] is unknown. By her he had an only child, Elena, who married Roger de Quincey"[2]: so it gives no support for the suggestion that Alan's first wife was a daughter of Reginald of the Isles, and it is a mystery where James Balfour Paul got this idea from. It is now fairly firmly established that the mother of Elena (Ellen) was a daughter of Roger de Lacy.
See Alan of Galloway's own profile for more information on his marriages.
