Research Notes Two Possible Parents
There are two possible sets of Parents that might be Susanna Hill's parents:
1. John Hill c.1660-1748 and Elizabeth_ _ _ _? c. 1663-1692 of Hanover Co., VA
2. Col. Isaac Hill and Margaret Jennings of King & Queen Co., VA, Later Caroline Co., VA
1733 • Hanover Co., VA; Hill's estate (His will 25 Feb. 1733), Paid orphans as follows: Timothy Mask, George Jones, Rich'd Leake, Jno Hill, Susan Hill, David Hill & James Hill. Hill's Estate that was paid out on 25 Feb. 1733.

This John Hill was neighbor's with John Clements and both lived in Hanover Co., VA during the same time period. John Clements', son William was in King William Co., the county next door to Hanover Co., VA. So, it's quite possible that Capt. Benjamin Clements, grandson of John Clements of Hanover knew Susanna and possibly grew up with her. These properties seemed closes enough to visit.
Another interesting tidbit or possible connection:
Susannah Hill & Benjamin Clements sold property (An Indenture) to a John Jones in the year 1760 in Halifax County, VA. Could this have been Susannah's Nephew, son of her sisters marriage _ _ _ _?Hill & George Jones listed as orphans and payouts in their Father, John Hill of Hanover Co., VA's Estate?

Notes by Cathi (Clements) Gross. This Bible, which I have not seen personally is questionable. Why do I say that? Bibles were a persons Identification of who you were back then. They were used just like Birth Certificates are used today. Most bibles that I have seen from that time period always had full Birth Dates not just the year, even the time one's birth was listed along with Marriages and one's death. A person collecting his Revolutionary, Civil War, etc pensions needed his family bible to prove who he was in Court along with Witnesses. Capt. Benjamin Clements being a highly educated person of his day would have known this and kept a full account of all his children's birth dates, because they would be needing it for their Identification. So, I am very skeptical of this Bible, which has been presented at many different family tree websites. I'm not saying these were Not Benjamin's kids, I'm just not so sure this was His personal family bible. I believe it was probably Mr. S. R. Orr of Chicago, Illinois's Bible, because it's dated 1927. Capt. Benjamin Clements Bible would have been dated around the 1730's, adding each child as they were born, as mentioned above. Another interesting fact, if this was Capt. Benjamin's Bible, why isn't his own birth date listed along with his wife Susannah's. These are important questions to ask.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Susanna by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Susanna:

Here is a thought about finding Susana Hill's rightful parents: . . .When working with Autosomal DNA, especially when the person is more than 3 generations back with a sketchy documentation to who their parents were, I'm wondering if we could determine, Susanna HIll, by other known Women descendants whose maiden name is "Hill who believe they are descendants of Susannah Hill through one of her possible brothers with Autosomal DNA? Especially, if these Hill women descendants are connecting by more than 7 Centimorgans? Could that be a viable way we could test or prove Susanna Hill's Parentage? and then maybe cross check it with all the Male "Hill" descendants whose last names are "Hill" who believe they may be related to Susanna Hill through one of her brothers. It might take some work charting it out over time as known descendants with their last name "Hill" are tested in this way for the sole purpose of finding Susanna Hills parents. Here is a link to the Hill Family Group at FTDNA, maybe they can help us with that. https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/hill/activity-feed
