Biography
Martha was the daughter of John Collins Hix and Eleanor Stewart. She is buried at Stewart Cemetery, Archer County, Texas. In 1906, after William's death, she applied for his CSA pension. It was filed in Texas where she lived, but his service was with the 5th Tennessee Cavalry.
