Biography
Agnes was born on 18 Jan 1898 in Ballycronan More, Islandmagee, County Antrim, Ireland, daughter of David Holmes and Isabella Jane (Montgomery) Holmes. Her birth was registered by Sarah Montgomery of Ballycronan More.[1]
Agnes married Hugh Boyle Hill on 20 Oct 1926 at the residence of the bride, Bayview Cottage, Ballycronan More, Islandmagee, by special licence from the Presbyterian Church. He was a farmer from Kilcoan, Islandmagee and she lived in Bayview Cottage, Islandmagee. The witnesses were James Mawhinney and Sadie Holmes.[2]
Agnes died on 10 May 1986 aged 88 and was interred in Islandmagee New Cemetery alongside her husband and daughters (Plot X43).
