Biography

Lewis Homire was born on 8 Jan 1867 in Elgin, Illinois.[1] He was the son of William Homire and Charlotte Castel.[2]

Lewis married Lena Junge on 2 Mar 1894 in Vinton, Iowa.[1][2] They had three children:[1]

  1. Clara, b. 18 Dec 1900, m. Harry Andresen, 4 ch.;
  2. Rudolph (twin), b. 19 Nov 1903, d. 3 Aug 1977, m. Elfreda Jacobs, 3 ch.;
  3. Roy (twin), b. 19 Nov 1903, m. Ella Schieb, 4 ch.

Also three children that died in infancy:[3]

  1. Emma;
  2. Herman;
  3. Willie.

Lewis died on 10 Sep 1946.[1] He was buried at Keystone Cemetery in Keystone, Benton County, Iowa.[3]
