Matthew, son of Matthew and Alice [nee Brooks] Hooley, was born in Wollaton in 1634 [citation needed].
At some time, around 1660, he married Dorothy: we do not yet know her surname.
They had at least four children; three girls, one of whom died, and one boy, all baptised at Strelley, where Matthew was assessed to pay 1d "Hearth Tax" in 1664 and again in 1674.
Mathew Hoolly was buried at All Saints, Strelley 8 April 1701 [1].
